For those of you actually reading this via my website rather than Facebook or a feed, you might notice that the blog is lacking in its usual visual charms.
This is because after several hours of wrestling with the back-end software update that runs the blog, I have emerged victorious but not unscathed. In other words, I lost my pretty themes, but I’ll get them back soon.
Just not tonight. Maybe not tomorrow either.
I promise you can handle it until then.
Since I’m updating my website info lately, I thought it was about time I updated my blogroll, which now appropriately lists blogs I follow and frequently visit, both writing-related and otherwise. I intend to put together a links page soon, which will include links to websites (not blogs) that I use often and/or whose writing I enjoy.
Poke around and enjoy, if you are so inclined.
Well I figured out how to pass the time this afternoon… and as a result, I’ve found a new layout design for the blog. Feel free to poke around and let me know what works and doesn’t work, and I’ll see if I have even the smallest chance of fixing things up a bit. We’ll see how it goes.
Since I’m thinking of autumnal things, I decided it was about time to change the blog theme, so enjoy the pretty fall design!
I’ve lost the admin password for the blog – again. One would think, since I just reset it two weeks ago, that I would know what it is, but apparently I don’t. I can’t explain it. I’ll have to get in through the backside again, but I won’t have time for that for a few days, so if I’m a little slow on responses and comment moderation that’s my excuse. That also means I can’t check traffic flow to the site, which eliminates one of my obsessive procrastinatory activities during the day. You’d think that might free up some time, but so far no beans on that count.
I’ve got a kajillion receipts to stuff today, and I keep thinking of things I should have gotten done before I went to work today to get things ready for Mom’s visit. I was going to get up at 6, but I was tired and the bed was so snuggley and warm, and all of a sudden it was 7 and I had to hurry to get to work on time. But I left Matt a list of things to take care of while I’m gone.
I think I’ll turn on the heater to keep my feet warm.
Distracted, who? Me?
I’m having chili for lunch.
Okay, I got sick of the horrible, stiff bio blurb I had up here for so long, so I’ve changed it. Feel free to toddle on over to check it out. Or, you know, don’t. Whatever.
