It seems I’ve read 157 books in 2009. They’re listed below in a pretty good approximation of the order in which I read them.

Because of the way I’ve kept track this year (using goodreads.com, though I have yet to figure out how to make any of my shelves there public), I can give you some stats.

Of the 157 books I read:
9 were fantasy (epic/high/true/pure/whatever you’d like to call it)
3 were urban fantasy (seems a very low number to me)
2 were mysteries
4 were nonfiction
9 were paranormal romance — that is, in this list, focused on the romance, but with some bit of time travel or ghosts or some such as a crucial plot point
51 were historical romances (includes the range from sweet to sexy)
77, then, were contemporary romances — for what it’s worth, all the paranormals were also contemporary, so I suppose this number could be 86 instead

I didn’t divide any further than that, mostly because I didn’t really feel the need to do so. I figured that much out because I was curious and it’s wicked easy to sort by different headings in my spreadsheet.

Also, for fun, I ran a sum function on the page counts–looks like I read just over 56k pages in 2009. I think that’s pretty darn fun to know.
